TOUR SUMMARY
TOUR ITINERARY
Day 1: Dar Es Salaam to Selous Game Reserve
Pick up from Airport or Hotel in Dar es Salaam, and begin to drive down south of Dar es Salaam to Selous Game Reserve; the drive shall take 5 to 6 hours. You will arrive in time for lunch, at around 16h00 in the evening, depart for sunset boat safari along the great Rufiji River to spotting hippos, crocodiles and birds, and enjoying the spectacular sundown.
Day 2 & 3: Selous Game Reserve
After early breakfast, depart for a full day game drive in the Selous Game Reserve, exploring the game in the surrounding areas. Animals, including elephants, giraffes, lions, buffalos, zebras and even the rare African wild dogs, are common. Picnic lunch in the mid-day, later on, return to the camp or lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Selous Game Reserve to Mikumi National Park
After early morning breakfast, you will leave Selous with a picnic lunch to enjoy on your way to Mikumi National Park; the drive shall take up to 8 hours.
Day 5: Mikumi National Park
Full day game drives around Mikumi National Park with picnic lunch. Later on, in the evening, go back to the camp or lodge in Mikumi for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Mikumi National Park to Ruaha National Park
Morning game drive in Mikumi then departs to Ruaha National Park. You will Stop in Iringa for lunch, then proceed to Ruaha arrives late afternoon.
Day 7 & 8: Ruaha National Park
After morning breakfast, game driving, Ruaha is the largest park and second largest elephant sanctuary in Tanzania. The great Ruaha River that flows along its entire eastern border creates spectacular gorges and scenery and features many hippos and crocodiles.
Day 9: Ruaha National Park to Udzungwa National Park
After breakfast, depart to Udzungwa National park via Iringa town, where you will stop for lunch before Udzungwa National Park for dinner and overnight.
Day 10: Udzungwa National Park
After morning breakfast, you will go into Udzungwa National park to hike in the Udzungwa Mountains, sighting waterfalls and swim in the fresh water hole at the base of the falls.
Day 11: Udzungwa National Park to Dar es Salaam
After enjoying your breakfast in the morning, drive back to Dar es Salaam to drop you off at your hotel.
