The Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCAA)
A UNESCO protected World Heritage Site covering 8292 sq km consists of the Ngorongoro Crater itself, Empakai Crater, Olduvai Gorge, and Ndutu, including the short grass plains of the southeastern Serengeti ecosystem.
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a pioneering experiment where people (the Maasai), livestock, and wildlife co-exist and share the same protected habitat. The stunning spectacle of the Ngorongoro Crater, its steep walls falling some 610 meters to the floor, is undoubtedly one of the highlights of a safari tour in Tanzania. The crater floor is home to thousands of everyday animals, including the rare black rhinos, zebras, wildebeests, gazelles, hippos, elands, elephants, and a large predator population of lions hyenas, and jackals.

Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge
Perched on the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater, the magnificent Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge is the only property on the eastern rim of this World Heritage Site. In its 97 spacious en-suite bedrooms, the lodge has its private road to the crater floor.

Sanctuary Ngorongoro Crater Camp
Sanctuary Ngorongoro Crater Camp is located in the rim valley of the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater situated in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area near the access road leading onto the crater floor.
The small camp comprises just ten classic safari tents, all with en-suite bathrooms with an indoor shower, king-size beds, and everything that makes a Sanctuary tented camp an authentic safari experience. All the tents also feature hairdryers, mosquito nets, in-room safes and a small sitting area in front of each tent.
