TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival – Hotel in Nairobi

On arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our experienced driver guides and escort you to Eka Hotel Nairobi. After your long flight, you will be pleased to discover that Nairobi – the undisputed safari capital, is balanced at 1661M (5450 ft) above the mean sea level, keeping the temperature and humidity relatively low.

Nairobi Capital has its natural attraction, Nairobi National Park; this financial, administrative and tourist centre is the perfect place to relax after a long journey and set off on safari, the holiday of a lifetime.

Day 2: Nairobi to Lake Naivasha

Today your adventure begins after being picked up from your hotel in Nairobi at 8 am. We’re driving north and west, introducing you to the wonders of the Kenya landscapes as you head for Lake Naivasha in the heart of the Great Rift Valley for 2 hours of boat rides in the vast lake.

Lake Naivasha National Park is a small but beautiful park that makes an excellent location for spotting wildlife. You will find some big five members, and there will be a good chance of spotting and photographing one of these magnificent beasts. At the end of an inspiring afternoon amongst the wildlife, we retire to the comfort of the lodge for an evening meal and rest—dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort.

Day 3: Naivasha to Masai Mara National Reserve

Today our journey continues as we head from the edge of the Masai Mara into its very heart… But now Masai Mara beckons, so we continue to head south into the world’s most excellent park arrival time for hot lunch.

This unsurpassable place is home to over a million herbivores and the thousands of predators who stalk them. Their fascinating habits and habitats will provoke questions, so ask your driver guide to explain the fantastic creatures you see. At night back at your accommodation, Africa’s sights, sounds, and smells will enchant you on this wilderness adventure. Journey time and Distance 6 hours, 297 km from Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara. Dinner and overnight at Mara Serena Safari Lodge.

Day 4 to 5: Masai Mara National Reserve

Ahead is a full day of adventure in the world’s most famous Masai Mara. Today, you will start with the morning section of our game drive with packed lunch, emphasising wildebeest migration and the perfect spot for river crossing or predators, all explained by your expert driver guide.

The wonderful thing about doing a game drive in Masai Mara is that the behaviours of these animals are more visible due to the lack of vegetation. The variety of habitats allows plenty of places to explore, and you often find yourself having private encounters with predators—dinner and overnight at Mara Serena Safari Lodge.

Day 6: Masai Mara National Reserve to Serengeti National Park

Today our journey continues as we head from the edge of the Serengeti in Tanzania with packed lunch. First, you will have a quick stop at Isebania/Serare Border Towns for visa registration and exchange vehicle; it’s time to say goodbye to your Kenya guide; you will meet him again in the final park of safari.

Your Tanzania Guide will introduce you to Tanzania culture and its people when driving into Serengeti’s heart. This unsurpassable place is home to over 1.6 million herbivores and the thousands of predators who stalk them. Journey time and Distance 7 hours 280 km from Masai Mara to Central Serengeti. Dinner and overnight at a magnificent Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge.

Day 7: Serengeti National Park

Waking up in the Serengeti is something extraordinary. Africa’s sights, sounds, and smells are all around us and ahead is a full day of adventure in the world’s most famous national park.

Pick your packed breakfast and lunch with your morning section of game drive in Serengeti National Park, marvelling at the stunning scenery, ever-changing light, and always entertaining wildlife. After our picnic lunch, we searched for wildlife in this awe-inspiring park again. Serengeti’s wonders evolve subtly as the day progresses.

At the end of the afternoon, we return to the camp for dinner and some much-needed rest, dinner and overnight at a magnificent Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge.

Day 8: Serengeti National Park

It’s time to embark on the awe-inspiring Serengeti National Park Great Migration Safari. We head out in the morning or the afternoon, depending on the animals’ migration when we are there. From the comfort of our custom-built four-wheel vehicle, look out for lions, hyenas, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, gazelles, zebras, elephants, and hippos.

Moreover, traverse the park, taking in the unforgettable scenery of the breathtaking landscape—dinner and overnight at a magnificent Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge.

Day 9: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Explore Africa’s Garden of Eden, the Ngorongoro Crater. The crater is the grasslands, forests, and freshwater lake that inspire the continual migration of animals and makes for the perfect chance to catch a glimpse of Africa’s notorious Big Five, i.e., buffalo, elephants, leopards, black-maned lions, and the rare black rhinoceros. Riding through the crater in a four-wheel drive, you will be close to some unforgettable animals.

After some exploring, enjoy a lunch picnic in the crater’s heart before we take in some more sights and head back to the lodge for the evening. Awaiting you at the lodge will be a deliciously prepared dinner accompanied by local entertainment to reminisce about the day you just had. Then, from your private terrace, observe some more of Ngorongoro’s wildlife-rich caldera in nature below. Dinner and overnight stay right on the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater at Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge.

Day 10: Ngorongoro to Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, collect your lunch boxes and leave the Ngorongoro crater. Your journey takes you to the Tanzania and Kenya border of Namanga. Time to catch your last sight of the day before beginning your two-night stay at your safari camp in Amboseli National Park, where you can watch herds of free-ranging elephants and other wildlife.

Take in a private lecture on the elephants of Amboseli before dining tonight. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge, the lodge is set against Africa’s highest mountain backdrop inside the Amboseli National Park, the magnificent Mount Kilimanjaro.

Day 11: Amboseli National Park

View the elephants, hippos, and buffalos at Amboseli’s natural watering holes as you enjoy a private safari ride with us. Watch the graceful antelopes that graze in the flat grasslands and explore the park’s plains.

Visit a Maasai village before a morning game drive, after which you’ll return to the lodge for breakfast. Take some time to yourself in the lodge before we eat lunch, then after we have dined, it’s time to head back out for another game drive to see the other animals that call Amboseli National Park home.

Later in the evening, enjoy your dinner and relax at Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge, set against the magnificent backdrop of Africa’s highest mountain inside the Amboseli National Park, the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro.
