You will return for dinner and overnight stay at the Baobab Tented Camp late evening.
Day 3: Tarangire to Lake Manyara National Park
Breakfast, then depart to Lake Manyara for a full-day game drive inside the park. Afternoon enjoys lunch in the picnic site, later continue with an afternoon game drive till African Sunset, later end of the afternoon drive back for dinner and overnight stay at Marera Valley Lodge.
Although the park is small, it has awe-inspiring scenery and is well-known for its growing population of baboons and blue monkeys. Permanent residents of this park also include giraffes, elephants, impalas and many buffaloes. The lake is also home to a large number of hippos. The landscapes of Lake Manyara are something that cannot be described in words. The game drives along the lake provide spectacular photo opportunities of giraffes and buffaloes in the foreground and the lake and its flamingos in the background. Moreover, the park is a bird watcher’s heaven where over 350 species of birds, including the lively flamingo, pelican, sacred ibis, grebe and stork, can be spotted.
Day 4: Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, drive towards the Serengeti National Park via the beautiful high-lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will arrive in time for a picnic lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the central part of Serengeti National Park.
The Central part of the Serengeti is probably the greatest and most famous park on earth. It covers over 14,763 km² and offers, midst many other things, the most crucial concentration of big cats, including lions and leopards. Many diverse sceneries can be found in the Serengeti: Savannah with the extensive plains to the south, hills and woods to the west, the kopjes area to the east, and bushland to the north. Significant rivers (Seronera, Banagi, Grumeti) run through the park. Wide mammals can be spotted during game drives, including cheetahs, elephants, buffalo, giraffes, antelopes, hippos and crocodiles. You will spend the evening time, dinner and overnight stay at the Kirimu Camp.
Day 5: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will spend morning and evening game drives through the Serengeti plains, spotting vast herds of wildebeest and zebra inhabiting these immense, seemingly unending plains during the migration. There is a great diversity of wildlife here, including lions, leopards, cheetah, impala, buffalo, birds and elephants. You will spend the evening time, dinner and overnight stay at the Kirimu Camp.
Day 6: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater
After early morning breakfast, you will depart to Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater. Here you will sight the game on the vast grasslands of the crater floor. The crater is prominent for watering holes and shelters many animals in an area naturally enclosed by the volcano’s slopes.
Ngorongoro crater is the home to the Big Five animals; lions, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos and leopards. The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest unbroken caldera worldwide and is bounded by steep walls rising 600m from the floor. It is well-thought-out, one of the Natural Wonders of the World and is a splendid sanctuary for wildlife throughout the year due to the permanent availability of grass and water. You will have a picnic lunch on the crater floor, and later on, in the afternoon, you will drive for dinner and overnight stay at the Marera Valley Lodge.
