TOUR ITINERARY
Day 1: Arusha to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha and transferred to Arusha airport (Kisongo Airport) for a scheduled flight to Serengeti Seronera Airstrip. On arrival in Serengeti, en route, a game drive to Melia Serengeti Lodge for hot lunch and later on afternoon game drive until sunset. Then, return to the lodge for leisure, dinner and overnight stay.
As you fly over the Serengeti national park, you will see why the name means, in a local language, ” An endless plain”. The park has 14,763 km square, and for most of it, the plains will stretch to the horizon defying your senses and perception of distances.
It is home to The Great Wildebeest Migration, two million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and antelopes. As for big cats and large predators, it’s the place to look out for lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas, with many television scenes like the famous River Crossings filmed in this famous park. Moreover, smaller animals like foxes, honey badgers, jackals, baboons and African hares, and more than 500 species of birds, inhabit this park.
Day 2-3: Game Viewing – Serengeti National Park
You will have two full days of game viewing in the Serengeti National Park. We are entirely stretchy with your likings, and these days will be fully organised according to your desires and taste. Every day of the safari, you will sit down and discuss with your guide the best times to start and end your game drive.
You could opt for two half-day game drives, return to the camp for lunch and relaxation and then finish with an afternoon game drive. Or you could opt for a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch and spend your leisure time, dinner and overnight at Melia Serengeti Lodge.
Day 4: Serengeti – Flying Out to Arusha/ Kilimanjaro International Airport
On this last day, we suggest a very early wake-up for your last morning game drive because animals are more active at this time, and you may also sightsee one of the best sunrises you will ever witness in the Africa wilderness.
After the morning game drive, you will return to the camp for a rewarding brunch, and then
pack your bags and say farewell as you depart for Seronera Airstrip for your scheduled flight to Arusha/ KIA.
